100% do not count as baking and not all that festive, but I am tired. Peanut Butter Rice Crispie Treats.

So, today I have failed and I have had to pull from my archives. I haven’t finished work for the day yet (it’s 9:30pm) and I just haven’t been able to pull together what I wanted to. BUT, as promised, there is still something.

These rice crispie treats might not be anything special, but they are delicious and simple, which sometimes is all you really want at Christmas.
Tomorrow will be a goodie though, I promise.
Ingredients
-9tbsp butter
-300g marshmallows
-3tbsp peanut butter
-300g rice crispies
-good pinch of sea salt
Method
-melt the butter in a large pan, I like to do it until it’s browning so gives more flavour! Then take the butter off the heat and stir in the marshies until melted.
-add the peanut butter & salt, mix well, then stir in the crispies.
-pour into a baking tray lined with baking paper (I’d you don’t have it then grease the tray reaaaaaally well) – set aside in a room temperature place for at least an hour to harden, then slice up and enjoy ☺️✨
